Hospitality VCE
Serve It Up provides a range of hospitality VET in school courses and micro-credentials. This will include VET course options for students undertaking year 10, the VCE and the VCE Vocational Major (VM). Completing a hospitality VET program will increase your employability and career options upon completion of your VCE.
VCE VET Hospitality
SIT20322 Certificate II in Hospitality
This qualification has been targeted to a front-of-house hospitality stream. Over two years you will complete all the units required for your Certificate II in Hospitality including your RSA and food handlers’ certificate. You will be able to work in cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs or clubs.
The program runs will rolling intake each year, in 2025 students will start at Group B and undertake Group A in 2026.

- SITHFAB025 Prepare and serve espresso coffee

Group B – 2025 & 2027
- SITHIND007 Use hospitality skills effectively
- SITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of alcohol
- SITHFAB024 Prepare and serve non-alcoholic beverages
- SITHFAB027 Serve food and beverage
- BSBTWK201 Work effectively with others
- SITXWHS005 Participate in safe work practices
Delivery
- 2pm-4pm every Wednesday – 1 day per week over 2 years
- 39/617-643 Spencer Street West Melbourne (Hospitality Campus) – near North Melbourne Train Station
- No classes during the school holidays

- This course consists of 302 nominal hours over the 2 year period, which equates to 3 VCE credits when successfully completed.
