Serve It Up is approved to deliver the Victorian Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate. Our industry experts make this the best RSA course in Melbourne, with the option of online delivery or a face-to-face class we cater for anyone. Our RSA courses are offered every week and after completing your RSA certificate you may wish to undertake further hospitality courses with Serve It Up.
You will need to refresh your RSA certificate every 3 years for free with the Liquor Commission Victoria.
To receive your RSA Certificate of Completion, you must complete the following:
1) an LCV-approved RSA course (this course)
2) Sexual Harassment and Assault: Recognise, Prevent and Respond (additional online module)

The Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate is a necessity for anyone looking to work in restaurants or bars serving alcohol. Course Structure
In Victoria, you need an RSA Certificate of Completion to work in many licensed venues. To receive your RSA Certificate of Completion, you must complete the following:
- an LCV-approved RSA course (This course with Serve It Up) – 6 hours
- Sexual Harassment and Assault: Recognise, Prevent and Respond (additional online module delivered by Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) – 1 hour

This course covers the unit SITHFAB021 Provide responsible service of alcohol and the official RSA certificate you need to work in a licensed venue in Victoria, issued by Liquor Control Victoria (LCV).
The course includes:
- The law, fines, demerit points and star rating
- Facts about alcohol
- Strategies to refuse service
- Good serving practices
- How to promote/advertise legally
- Unacceptable service practices
Assessment which includes:
- Online – 20 questions multiple choice test
- Online – Short answer questions
- Scenarios
- Oral Questions
Online: Your trainer will call you after the session to conduct scenarios and oral questions.
