Serve It Up provides a range of government funded hospitality short courses to help you achieve your hospitality certificate in Melbourne and Victoria. Our nationally accredited skill sets are considered micro credentials or hospitality short courses. Serving you up a taste of what to expect in full hospitality qualification and providing with you an immediate skill set to get trained for the workplace quickly. Most of our customers who complete a skill set go on to complete further hospitality courses with us and expand their hospitality career options.

The Full Serve - Certificate IV Hospitality

Includes bar, cocktails, RSA, barista coffee, customer service, coaching, leadership & more. Government funding available.

RSA - Responsible Service of Alcohol

Online or classroom options.

Food Handlers' Certificate

Online Food handlers level 1, or compete the skill set in food safety supervision with government funding available.

Certificate III Hospitality

Available as a traineeship, with licensed and non-alcoholic streams. Government funding available.

Government Funding

Serve It Up has a Skills First Funding Contract, numerous skill sets and qualifications have access to Skills First Funding and JobTrainer (Victorian and Commonwealth Government funding).

If you are eligible, you will have access to NO FEE or LOW FEE course options to help you excel in your hospitality career. It is important to note that enrolling in a funded course can affect your access to future skills first funding. Subject: Urgent: Course Registration Issue and Poor Email Response

Hi,

I'm reaching out about an issue I'm facing with registering for a course due to poor communication with your colleague Jim. I've been emailing him since 2 months ago to inquire about course details, but unfortunately, I've not received a timely response. Given my short visit to Australia from May 27th to June 1st, I urgently need to finalize my registration.

The issue is further complicated because the website requires an Australian phone number for sign-up, which I don't have. Without the registration link from Jim, I'm unable to proceed. I'm struggling to plan my schedule and itinerary without this confirmation.

Could someone please assist me with the registration process? I'd greatly appreciate a prompt response to resolve this matter.

Steph is so great, she's super approachable in all aspects of the course, practical help, quiz help and just general questions. She's both knowledgeable and transparent about the industry and shares her experience, and provides helpful feedback. You're not scared to mess up in front of her. The rest of the Serve It Up staff have also been super friendly, and are really understanding and accomodating to people's busy schedules. I genuinely enjoy coming into my course every week (even if I hate early mornings) because it's a very comfortable environment. The course itself is straightforward, all the information needed to pass the quizzes and assessments are included in the learning content, and any out-dated or confusing info can be clarified in class. The classes are engaging, easy to follow, and I enjoy how hands on all the pracs are as you quickly learn through repetition.

Went here to do some training in bartending. Was given a stupid enrolment form to complete that asked irrelevant ridiculous questions.
You shouldn't have to answer maths questions to learn to pour drinks.
Not accommodating for nerodivergent or people with specific learning issues is rubbish.

I did my espresso coffee, infection control and RSA with SIU. They were thorough, informative, experienced and the coffee course involved plenty of actual practice with the machines, using a pretty nice blend and actual milk and alternative milks, so if you’re into coffee you can pretty much drink unlimited amounts throughout the day. 🤪 They also gave out free lunch, but there’s a cafe downstairs if you’re still hungry. Enjoyed my 5 days there and I’d def recommend the training, although it took a few weeks for them to send the certificate afterwards.

When I started the Barista Course, I had very limited knowledge about coffee. The Course trainers were very knowledgeable, exciting and patient. They taught us how to make 10 different coffees, coffee art, 3 various types of chai, and different cold coffee amongst other topics by 4th Day.
